Bullet Point Punctuation & Style Consistency
- Generally use periods for complete sentences; no periods for phrases.
- Be consistent within each section, whether a period is used or not.
Confirm Page Size
- Ensure dimensions meet event specifications.
- After converting to PDF: Menu → Document Properties to confirm size.
- PowerPoint maximum size is 56". For larger posters, reduce both dimensions by half and request 200% scaling (e.g., set 30" × 22.5" for a final 60" × 45"). Maintain the same aspect ratio if using a different scale factor.
Content Resolution
- Images/logos: 150–300 PPI (e.g. at 200 PPI, a 5" × 7" image = 1000 × 1400 pixels).
- Best insert options: copy/paste original high-resolution files, export properly, or save as lossless formats (TIF, PNG, BMP).
- Screen capture only as a last resort (maximize image size on screen before capture).
Remove Artifacts
- Delete stray text, lines, or graphic spots.
- Zoom in to catch small errors.
Maximize Visibility
- Use a large, attention-grabbing title with strong contrast.
Digital Proofing
- Convert to PDF and review at 75–100% zoom before submitting.
Accepted File Formats
- PDF, PowerPoint, Google Slides, or common image files.
- Convert other applications to PDF.
- You may submit both PDF and PowerPoint if preferred.
Avoid Rush Charges
- Allow 2–3 business days to avoid the $20 per poster next-business-day rush fee.
