Ensure the poster dimensions are within the event specifications. Confirm the size of your poster after converting to PDF (Menu -> Document properties). Note the maximum size for PowerPoint is 56”. If you require a larger poster, reduce both dimensions by half, and I will print it at 200% (scale factor). For example, set the page size to 30" x 22.5" for a final size of 60" x 45". You can use a different scale factor, but keep the aspect ratio the same.
Ensure all images, logos, and graphics are the appropriate poster resolution (150–300 PPI). Example: At 200 PPI, a 5" x 7" image should be approximately 1000 X 1400 pixels (5 x 200 X 7 x 200) or 1.4 MB. Do one of the following.
Remove accidental floating text, lines, and spots on graphics. Enlarging the layout on the screen helps see smaller objects.
Use an attention-grabbing title with an appropriate font size and, if needed, color to ensure it stands out.
Converting to a PDF is a useful digital proofing step to check for errors or issues before submission. Review your file at 75%-100% zoom to catch any potential problems.
Submit your poster as a PDF, PowerPoint, Google Slides, or common image files only. All other applications should be converted to a PDF. If you wish, you may submit both a PDF and a PowerPoint version.
Please allow 2-3 business days for turnaround to avoid the $20/poster next-business-day rush charge.
